The short answer: Contentdrips is a content studio for LinkedIn and Instagram. It makes carousels, posts, quote cards and videos from a topic, a blog, a video or a CSV, and schedules them from the same place. cropdot makes LinkedIn carousels from a topic or your notes, and nothing else. If you repurpose blogs and videos or run several brands, Contentdrips does more. If your carousels start as your own ideas and you post them yourself, cropdot is the shorter path.

Where Contentdrips is stronger
- Repurposing. A blog post, a YouTube video, a TikTok or Reel, an image or a tweet can become a carousel, and a CSV can produce many at once. “Match My Style” learns your voice from your past posts. cropdot starts from a topic or notes you type or dictate; it does not import from a URL, a video or a file.
- Publishing and planning. Contentdrips publishes and schedules to LinkedIn, personal profiles or company pages, and to Instagram, and its Bulk Post Planner lays out two weeks at once. cropdot gives you a file to post yourself.
- Brands and templates. Brand kits hold your uploaded fonts, hex colors, gradients and logos, with a separate kit per client. There are hundreds of templates; the LinkedIn ones come sized at 1080 × 1350, and there are separate makers for Instagram and TikTok. cropdot has eight templates, six fonts, and an author block with a logo.
- More formats. Video Studio turns a carousel into an MP4 or a looping GIF. The same tool makes text posts, quote cards, infographics and AI images. cropdot exports PDF and PNG and has no AI images.
- Teams and automation. Collaborators from Starter, unlimited team members on Pro, and an API and MCP server from Pro up. cropdot has no team features and no integrations.
- A look before signing up. The editor opens without logging in, though writing with AI needs credits.
Where cropdot is stronger
- A draft shaped like a carousel. One message box: type a topic, paste notes or dictate. The AI writes the slides in the order people read them: a first slide that makes a promise, the body, a closing ask. It writes the first slide last, once the point is clear, and keeps headings to ten words or fewer and body text to 35. You watch the slides arrive in the editor one by one, then edit.
- One format, set up for LinkedIn. Every slide is rendered 1080 px wide, 4:5 by default, and every page of the PDF has the same size, which LinkedIn asks of an uploaded document. Change the size once and it applies to every slide.
- Readable without fiddling. Text turns dark on a light background by itself. Long text shrinks to fit instead of being cut off. Highlighted words get ink that contrasts with the highlight color.
- Less to learn. Contentdrips covers many formats, networks and sources; cropdot has five tabs for one format: Content, Background, Layout, Template, Brand. Your author block and logo carry over to the next carousel, and undo, redo and autosave are there when you need them.
